“More importantly, Ritchie’s dance-off performance did not show improvement in his technique, whereas Fleur’s performance did.”

Speaking about how Fleur’s costume put her at risk, Dr Jill continued: “Costumes can adversely affect a dancer’s performance, either directly through impeding movement or by cutting performers’ confidence.

“I felt that Fleur also had a difficult costume to work with which may have placed her at risk of elimination.
