Steven Spielberg cosies up to his glamorous wife Kate Capshaw in Cannes

Steven Spielberg cosied up to his glamorous wife Kate Capshaw as the pair left the famous Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc hotel in Cannes by boat on Wednesday.

The 74-year-old director – who is in the French Riviera for Cannes Film Festival – was  joined by his retired actress wife, 66, their daughters Sasha, 31, and Destry, 24, as well as the couple’s adopted son Theo, 31. 

Steven looked casual in a pink jumper and light blue denim jeans and accessorized with a blue baseball cap and scarf.

Meanwhile Kate looked youthful in a black and white sundress which she teamed with a floppy hat and dark shades.

The pair looked as in love as ever as they held hands getting on to the waiting boat after enjoying a meal at the hotel’s swanky eatery. 

Their daughter Sasha looked chic in a flowery blue and nude dress and wore her dark tresses in beachy waves.

Kate met her future husband when she starred opposite Harrison Ford in his film Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, the 1984 sequel to his action–adventure hit Raiders Of The Lost Ark.  

Spielberg had previously been in a relationship with the The Fury’s Amy Irving, and the two married in 1985, before separating in 1989 in what became one of the costliest divorces ever.

Kate and her former director reunited following his divorce, and the couple were married in 1991.

The actress would go on to have multiple roles throughout the 1980s and ’90s, though she retired from acting in 2001.

Though the Indiana Jones series has been one of Spielberg’s most successful film franchises, he announced earlier last year that he won’t return for an upcoming fifth installment.

Harrison Ford will return to play the eponymous archeologist and adventurer, but Ford V Ferrari and Logan director James Mangold is filling the director’s chair.
