Douglas Ross was heckled by Scottish National Party (SNP) MSPs as he tried to ask a question following Nicola Sturgeon’s latest lockdown announcement. He hit back at attempts to interrupt him from the MSP’s slamming them for “feeling the need to heckle” on “such an important issue for our country”.
Douglas Ross said: “Keeping whole councils or cities in level two is not targeted.
“It is not a local approach!”
But before asking Nicola Sturgeon a question on a new lockdown approach, the Tory MP was heckled down by SNP politicians.
He said: “I’m sorry that some SNP members feel the need to heckle!”
“We have had twenty minutes of a statement from the first minister on an extremely important issue for our country!
“And it is now appropriate for opposition politicians to question the Government.
“That is healthy in a democracy!”
