Revealing the news in a post online, the Redditor said: “Just ripped the latest Game Pass APK updated via Google Play Store from my android tablet and to my surprise it had an Android TV banner built into it… Seems we may get Game Pass officially on Android TV very soon!”
While Microsoft hasn’t officially announced Game Pass is coming to Android TVs, the launch would stand to reason.
Seeing as Android TV is essentially Android, it’s always been possible to sideload the Xbox Game Pass app onto Google-powered telly sets.
Sideloading onto devices such as Chromecast has been possible, but it hasn’t been worth it as the layout isn’t optimised for TVs.
Interestingly though, 9to5Google did discover that when side loading the latest Xbox Game Pass APK to a Chromecast device it shows up on the streaming gadget’s home screen.
