Sky News host Adam Boulton was beginning to review the UK newspapers and comment on a cartoon made mocking both Boris Johnson and congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC. The cartoon depicted Boris Johnson in the dress that now read: “Tax the workers to help the asset-rich”. Mr Boulton began his paper review by claiming Ms Ocasio-Cortez looked “ridiculous” in her dress.
The Sky News host questioned Ms Ocasio-Cortez’s decision to wear an expensive gown calling for more taxation to the rich when she claims to be an “extreme left-winger”.
Mr Boulton introduced his guests Sebastian Payne and Lucy Fisher and then began to attack the congresswoman.
He said: “What about that cartoon of Boris Johnson as AOC, the radicule New York congresswoman.
“I mean frankly I thought she looked rather ridiculous wearing an expensive gown to a lovey celebration at the Metropolitan Museum when she claims to be an extreme left-winger.”

Deputy Political Editor, Luy Fisher attempted to defend the congresswoman in her reply.
She said: “She would probably say it is a great platform to express a message like that.”
Ms Ocasio-Cortez has faced significant criticism for her decision to wear the dress, with many arguing it is both tone-deaf and hypocritical.
The congresswoman addressed the criticism she faced in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“This is due to our responsibilities in overseeing our city’s cultural institutions that serve the public.
“I was one of several in attendance.”
The colour choice of her attire is reportedly a reference to the tradition of American congresswomen donning white to hark back to the women’s suffrage movement.
