Channel Seven’s Big Brother VIP BOMBS in the ratings despite a headline-grabbing cast as Nine’s Parental Guidance soars ahead
The season premiere of Big Brother VIP has been a ratings disaster for Seven.
The network’s big-budget reality series bombed on Monday night, drawing a dismal audience of 377,000 viewers in the five major cities.
The program was decimated by Channel Nine’s Parental Guidance, which almost doubled its audience with 629,000 metro viewers.

It’s bad news for Channel Seven, which spent weeks promoting the show’s all-star cast including Caitlyn Jenner, Omarosa Manigault Newman and Jessika Power.
In addition to the dire ratings, Big Brother VIP also failed to place in any of the key demos.
The show was even beaten by the season premiere of the standard edition of Big Brother Australia, which drew a metro audience of 662,000 in April.
