Sacha reportedly performed at two comedy showcases on Saturday night, with each set lasting for 20 minutes.

A member of the audience told The Daily Telegraph that everyone was required to put their phone in ‘locked pouches’ before Sacha came on stage – presumably to prevent details of the performance leaked online.

‘[Sacha] had everyone in stitches,’ the source said.

Ali G was the role that launched Sacha onto the pathway to stardom.

The satirical character originally appeared on British TV program The 11 O’Clock Show in the late nineties, before later appearing in the self-titled spinoff Da Ali G Show in 2000.

Ali G, a youth television worker and wannabe rapper from Staines, London, was known for his spoof interviews with celebrities, in which he asked inappropriate and often ridiculous questions

He famously asked astronaut Buzz Aldrin what it was like to ‘walk on the sun,’ and questioned British socialist MP Tony Benn if going on strike is the same as ‘pulling a sickie.’

The cheeky comic even asked Professor Sue Leece, director of the Centre for Gender Research, if another woman will be ‘allowed to slip through’ and become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Sacha is currently living in Sydney with his actress wife Isla Fisher and the couple’s three children.
