The couple’s series had been due to air later this year but could be delayed until 2023 after multiple sources told Page Six the Sussexes want to make more edits.
One source claimed the couple want to “downplay much of what they have said about King Charles III, Camilla, Queen Consort, and the Prince and Princess of Wales”.
A Hollywood industry source told Page Six: “A lot of conversations are happening. I hear that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year, they want to stall.
“I wonder if the show could even be dead in the water at this point, do Harry and Meghan just want to shelve this thing?”

A Netflix insider also claimed: “Netflix has been keen to have the show ready to stream for December.
“There’s a lot of pressure on (Netflix CEO) Ted Sarandos, who has the relationship with Harry and Meghan, to get this show finished.”
This comes after Harry’s upcoming memoir has been pushed back to next year, from its scheduled release in November.
A source told The Sun last week: “Harry has thrown a spanner in the works as he is desperate to get it refined in the light of the Queen’s death, her funeral and his father Charles taking the throne.”
They continued: “There may be things which might look so good if they come out so soon after the Queen’s death and his dad becoming King.
“He wants sections changed. It’s not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late.”
Meghan and Harry’s production company Archewell Productions signed a deal with Netflix in 2020, promising to release documentaries, children’s programmes, scripted shows and feature films.
The couple has been seen filming a docu-series on Harry’s journey founding the Invictus Games titled Heart of Invictus. The series will also highlight the athletes competing in the latest Games in The Hague earlier this year.
Meghan had been planning an animated children’s series titled Pearl, but this was scrapped as part of wider cutbacks from the streaming service.

The couple’s docu-series had planned to be a fly-on-the-wall style show but Meghan suggested it could be a look back on her royal romance.
In an interview with The Cut, Meghan explained that “there’s a difference between a historical documentary and a reality docuseries”.
She added that her romance with Harry is something that she has not yet shared with the public.
Meghan said: “The piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see, is our love story.”
