The Queen will celebrate 70 years on the throne next year and yesterday it was confirmed a four-day bank holiday weekend will take place to mark the momentous occasion. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to return to the UK for the celebrations, according to insiders, which has infuriated royal fans. Several angry supporters of Her Majesty have warned the couple to “stay away” as they are not welcome at the event.
Royal fans took to Twitter after it was claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex planned to return for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Royal supporters questioned why the pair would want to return, after their public trashing of the Royal Family in recent months.
One person wrote: “Meghan & Harry ‘want to attend Queen’s 2022 Jubilee’.
“Bloody cheek after all said and done. Must be a serious need for a boost for their failing WOW factor in La La Land. “Not unless it’s a private visit – no public profile to protect them from the press. And us from them.”
Another user fumed: “Oh stay away! #justharry and definitely keep #harryswife away! No one wants you there!”
A third wrote: “Please, just stay away! And if u must travel then stand in the crowd below.”
Another person said: “‘Fresh’ Harry and Meghan ‘headache’ for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations Oh harry you air all the dirty washing when it suits you — now you want back in when it suits you ??? — Harry wake up from your dream of grandeur and kick her out.”
One reader suggested the Queen shouldn’t allow the Sussexes to return for the event, after their recent comments hitting out at the Royal Family.
They wrote: “Apparently Harry and Meghan want to come back for the queen jubilee celebrations next year.
“After all the things they have said, especially Harry. If it was me Harry I would say no.
“I would be worried what he is going to say as soon as he goes back to America.”

8:35am update: ‘Blue blooded’ William and future Queen Kate ‘two peas in a pod’ after Megxit drama
Prince William and Kate Middleton have “blossomed” into “two-peas-in-a-pod” amid the tensions surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal expert has said.
Relations between the Sussexes and Cambridges have remained tense since Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussexes’ sit-down with the US chat show host had an “unexpected” impact on Kate and William, according to royal correspondent Camilla Tominey.
Writing for the Telegraph, she said: “It seems an unexpected consequence of the family conflict has been to help William and Kate find equilibrium in their own marriage.
“What started out as an uneven match between a blue-blooded prince and his ‘plus one’ has now blossomed into a two-peas-in-a-pod kind of partnership.”
