Royal Family LIVE: Camilla will 'never forgive' Meghan for hurting Charles – insider claim

This would be a rapid turnaround in relations between the two women, with Camilla previously reported to have been a “pillar of support” to the Sussexes. Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, a royal insider said: “I don’t think the Duchess will ever forgive Meghan for what she’s done to the Prince of Wales.”

The extraordinary claim comes despite the Queen issuing a statement earlier this year saying both Meghan and Harry would always remain much-loved Royal Family members.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in March 2020, and subsequently relocated to California.

In an incendiary interview with Oprah Winfrey, in March of this year, Meghan claimed “concerns” were raised within the family about Archie’s skin tone before he was born in 2019.

Harry said his father had “stopped taking my calls” in the runup to Megxit.

In 2019 a royal source, quoted by Vanity Fair, said Camilla had been a “pillar of support” for Meghan.

It followed the release of a documentary in which the Duchess of Sussex said she was “existing, not living”.

The source said: “I think Camilla was probably just as surprised as anyone else when the documentary came out and perhaps didn’t realise how much Harry and Meghan were suffering.

“She wants everyone to get along and be happy. Her mantra is carry on and keep smiling.

“She doesn’t want to see anyone struggling and she is fond of Meghan and she could be a very good ally too.”

Charles walked Meghan down the aisle at her wedding, in May 2018, as her father was unable to attend.

In May Harry appeared on Dax Shepard’s podcast, in which he said the move to California was designed to “break the cycle” of pain for his family.

In a statement on behalf of the Queen, following the Sussexes’ decision to leave, Buckingham Palace said they remain “much-loved members of the family”.
