The Prince and Princess of Wales were on a visit to Wales when a royal fan praised them for the great work they are doing in raising their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. In their first official visit as Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate and William visited Anglesey where they lived for three years after getting married, and later Swansea. It was their first official royal duty since the end of the mourning period after the Queen’s death.
As Kate and William were greeting the crowd in Swansea, a woman congratulated the couple on their children’s upbringing.
The woman said: “The way you are raising your children…”
Visibly touched, Prince William said: “Oh, that’s very sweet.”
The woman continued: “They are incredible.”
William then cracked a joke, leaving onlookers in stitches.
“We’re looking for a babysitter,” he said, with the Princess of Wales turning to look at him with a beaming smile on her face.
The crowd erupted into laughter upon hearing the Prince of Wales’ joke.
Reacting to the Prince’s joke, the woman replied: “Oh, I love you, you’re so real. Diana would be so proud of you.”
