The Queen offered a “rare” look into her private space in Buckingham Palace during an appearance with Boris Johnson. The monarch was filmed greeting the Prime Minister at Buckingham Palace. HeirPod host and ABC royal contributor Omid Scobie gave insight into the meeting.
He told listeners: “We saw the Queen out in-person meeting with the British Prime Minister for the first time in 15 months.
“Anyone that follows the Royal Family knows that the head of state has a weekly audience with the Prime Minister.
“But that, of course, had been put sort of on-ice since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK.
“Their last face-to-face audience was on March 11 in 2020.”

Mr Scobie continued: “So to see them back together is a sign of some normality.
“But, also, a rare close-up peek into the Queen’s inner sanctum.
“These meetings usually take place very privately.
“This time was a little different, and the Palace actually released photos and footage from that meeting itself.”
The monarch may not have been referring to this specific incident.
However she did call the Health Secretary “poor man”.
She added that he seemed to be thinking that “things are getting better”.
Since that meeting, Mr Hancock became embroiled in a kissing scandal.
He has since resigned from his cabinet position.
