Queen Elizabeth II and her sister Princess Margaret saw a ghost at Windsor Castle which was believed to be her namesake Good Queen Bess, a report has claimed. The Royal Family’s Berkshire residence is reportedly one of the Firm’s most haunted homes.
There have been more than 25 reported sightings of ghosts and spirits at the 952-year-old castle.
There are stories stretching from hobbling ghosts to saluting soldiers and even stolen bones, according to the Mirror.
Windsor Castle was one of the late Queen’s favourite homes even though she reportedly saw a ghoul alongside her sister Princess Margaret.
The ghost was supposedly an apparition of Queen Elizabeth I.

It is thought the best place to encounter Good Queen Bess is by waiting in Windsor Castle’s library.
Visit Britain claimed: “[The Queen’s] footsteps can be heard on the bare floorboards, before her striking presence appears.”
Those hoping to catch up with King George III are supposed to wait in the room below the library.
Witnesses allege they can see a figure “looking longingly out of the window”.
King George III was confined to his room for long periods of the day during the end of his reign as he became increasingly mentally ill.
George has also been spotted in a bedroom in Windsor Castle.
There are also records of hearing the “hobbling” ghost of King Henry VIII, who suffered from gout and painful ulcers on his legs, in the deanery cloisters.
However, Windsor is not the only property with a royal connection to have spotted ghosts.
