The Duke of Cambridge’s favourite cake was his wedding cake in 2011. “When Prince William first tried it, he loved it and then requested it as his groom’s cake,” McGrady told HELLO! Online.
The specific recipe of the chocolate biscuit cake is inherited from his grandmother.
The Queen shares William’s love for the recipe as one of her favourite afternoon tea snacks is the chocolate cake.
The former royal chef has even published the recipe on his website for people looking to bake the same cake Prince William and Kate Middleton had at their wedding.
Kate has said she enjoys baking and makes her children cakes herself.

The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex have shared their distaste for spicy food in the past.
However, they definitely have a sweet tooth.
During a video call to schoolchildren in April 2020 the Royals reassured the children that there will be plenty of chocolate.
“There will be a lot of chocolate being eaten here, don’t worry!” Prince William said.
Kate fired back: “You keep eating it!”
