Prince Harry, 36, departed the UK just a day after the statue unveiling of Princess Diana as Meghan Markle was “missing him”. The Duke of Sussex was reported to have plans to sit down with his grandmother, the Queen but it is not clear if he had the time to during his two days outside of isolation. Nine news royal correspondent Natalie Oliveri said: “Harry was in the UK for less than a week.

“He only spent two days outside of isolation and he flew back to California on Friday.

“The Diana statue unveiling was on the Thursday.

“He really didn’t have time with his family and didn’t have time to mend any of those rifts that have occurred with his brother.

“There are also reports that Harry was going to have tea with his grandmother, the Queen at Windsor Castle but we don’t know whether that did happen.

“Harry was back on a plane to the US very, very quickly.

“We saw him arriving in California on early Saturday morning back into the arms of Meghan who would have no doubt been missing him and surely he would have been missing his own children.”

It comes as a royal author said Harry and Prince William put on a “very good show” despite their rift during the statue event.

The brothers appeared together at the unveiling of a new statue of Diana, Princess of Wales, described as “stunning” by Penny Junor.

“I was expecting to see some sort of tight lips and some jaw muscles which we saw at the Commonwealth service in Westminster Abbey before Harry and Meghan left.

“They seemed to be reasonably relaxed with one another. They weren’t arms around each other, it wasn’t very touchy and there wasn’t, perhaps, the usual banter of times gone by.

“But had you not known there was a serious problem between the two of them, you wouldn’t necessarily have picked it up.”

Harry accused the royal family of racism in an interview with Oprah Winfrey and Meghan also said the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry ahead of her wedding.
