The Prince of Wales wore an elegant grey three-piece suit that he complemented with a blue-grey print tie. The heir to the throne is known to repeat outfits, having done so on several occasions before.

But this time Charles attended Royal Ascot with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, in the same suit he wore to the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding.

The ceremony, which took place at St George’s Chapel on May 19, 2018, saw him accessorise the suit with lilac tie.

Commenting on his outfit choice for Ascot Opening Day, Charles conceded it is part of his summer wardrobe.

He told British Vogue: “In the case of that particular morning coat, as long as I can go on getting into it, I only wear it a few times a year, in the summer, so obviously you want to keep those sorts of things going.

“But if I can’t fit into them, then I just have to have something new made.”

Prince Charles could be reunited with his youngest son soon as he may be set to return to the UK for his mother’s statue unveiling.

Prince Harry will purportedly see the Royal Family again on July 1 for the unveiling of a statue in honour of what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday.

In 2017, Princes William and Harry said they had commissioned the statue to be erected outside William’s official London residence, Kensington Palace.
