So Millie Mackintosh was feeling reflective as she looked back on the lessons she’s learned as a mother to 13-month-old daughter Sienna.
Sharing a sweet Instagram post on Monday, Millie, 31, candidly admitted there had been ‘happy and sad tears’ and plenty of ‘learning curves’ in her first year as a mother.

Using her Instagram caption to chronicle Sienna’s development, Millie wrote: ‘The past month has been full of highs, lows, happy and sad tears and lots of learning curves – for both of us! Here’s what is new with you..
‘June 2021, age 1 year 1 month. You took your first steps and you can stand up unassisted for a couple of seconds.
‘You’re such an independent little lady and won’t let us help you and I’m so excited for you to start exploring the world on your two feet. It’s also the exact same age I was when I took my first steps.’

Millie continued: ‘You’ve had one of your worst teething episodes to date, you are refusing to eat much solid food and your reflux is flaring up again.
‘For now you are back on omeprazole which is slowly helping but I feel like we’ve taken a step backwards on your weaning journey.
‘You’re also throwing food, your plate and water cup at meal times, I’m not sure if this is out of frustration because your teeth and tummy are hurting? Or if you’re testing us for a reaction, which you’re doing a lot of at the moment!
‘You’ve started to move and hide things, I found the baby monitor in my sock drawer the other day, Hugo thinks you are an evil genius and totally aware of the havoc you are causing!

‘You definitely know what you want and you’re starting to ask for certain things. Every morning you demand some of my smoothie which I am happy to give you but I am not of fan of your biting technique.
‘If you want to watch TV you’ll pick up the remote and point it at me. You love to sing along and dance to music, know the exact songs that you like and how to make them play on your music box.
‘It keeps you entertained for quite a while which is a godsend sometimes. You are starting to be affectionate towards other children, dogs and your toys!

‘You even give your dolls a ride on your rocking sheep which is particularly cute to watch.

Using a needle, he burst the black balloon which released pink confetti, signalling that they are expecting another daughter together.
And Millie appeared elated as she shared a tender kiss with Hugo in the touching social media clip.

‘We were away with family a few weeks ago when the results arrived and I got my mum to organise a gender reveal balloon, we found out with Sienna over the phone and it was so special to make a moment of it!
She concluded: ‘We are delighted and now even more excited about our new arrival ❤️’. [sic]
