Andy Lee has settled the heated debate over the correct abbreviation of chicken parmigiana.

The 40-year-old comedian revealed whether the majority of Australians refer to the meal as a ‘parma’ or ‘parmi’ on his statistical comedy show The Hundred on Tuesday.

Andy asked his guest panellists Sophie Monk, Mike Goldstein and Tom Walker: ‘Do more of our hundred say parma or parmi?’

Tom and Mike both guessed Parma as the correct answer while Sophie choose Parmi.

Andy then revealed that 54 per cent of the Australians on his show refer to the meal as Parmi.

During the episode, Sophie also couldn’t conceal her embarrassment after making a gaffe.

The 41-year-old singer-turned-TV host was discussing her middle name, Charlene – specifically how she’s not a fan of it.

Host Andy Lee had asked the show’s panel of every day Aussies if there was anyone who didn’t like their name, when a woman called Charlene stepped forward.

Sophie then revealed that her middle name also happens to be Charlene, and said that it was a ‘bogan’ name.

‘My middle name’s Charlene, and I liked it, but I thought of changing it to Charlie, because people think I’m the biggest bogan as it is,’ she explained.

But Sophie didn’t seem to realise that Charlene was still listening in on the conversation, with the Love Island host desperate to backpedal on her remarks.

‘She can hear you!’ laughed an amused Andy, 40, as a wide-eyed Sophie covered her mouth with both her hands.

‘No, but I love it! I do like it,’ she quickly added.
