Otto Wallin reckons he would beat Tyson Fury in a rematch – and wants Anthony Joshua next

OTTO WALLIN is adamant he would beat Tyson Fury in a rematch – and wants Anthony Joshua next.

The Swedish heavyweight left The Gypsy King with a brutal cut above the eye during his points decision loss in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Former two-weight world champ Andre Ward is one of those who has gone on record saying Fury may never be the same after the cut.

And it appears Wallin is hungry for another go at Fury after taking him all the way in Sin City.

His agent Dmitriy Salita told Sky Sports: “Otto would be much better in the rematch.

“He is going to get busy and now he is comfortable with Fury’s style. I strongly believe Otto wins the rematch!”

Salita also revealed Wallin was in the running to face Anthony Joshua as the Brit’s alternative opponent before Andy Ruiz Jr got the slot and stunned the world with his victory.

A much slimmer AJ goes up against Ruiz Jr in their Saudi Arabia rematch on December 7.

And should the former Olympic hero win back his WBA, WBO and IBF belts, Wallin is ready to take him on.

Salita said: “Otto is a true champion, inside and outside the ring.

“He is from Sweden and fought Fury in Vegas so destination is no issue.

“We were discussing him stepping in to fight Joshua in June. We would be open to that possibility some time down the line in the UK.”

Salita said he thought Fury was lucky to be allowed to fight on against Wallin after the cut he gave Fury.

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn agreed and also questioned the judges’ scoring.

He said: “I think it could have been a draw, at most 7-5 Tyson.

“Fury is a great fighter who has tons of heart. He was very skilled and courageous in how he dealt with such adversity.

“But had it been anyone else, I feel the fight would be stopped.”
