Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon has quit the church of Scientology.
The 41-year-old actress made the revelation in a new interview with People where she shared how motherhood has changed her as a person – saying it made her ‘look at a lot of things in my life that I wasn’t looking at before.’
Prepon – who shares two children with husband Ben Foster – said she made the decision to leave the religion several years ago, but has only spoken out about it now.
‘I’m no longer practicing Scientology,’ Prepon told the outlet. ‘I’ve always been very open-minded, even since I was a child. I was raised Catholic and Jewish. I’ve prayed in churches, meditated in temples.’

She added: ‘I’ve studied Chinese meridian theory. I haven’t practiced Scientology in close to five years and it’s no longer part of my life.’
Her husband, Foster – who was twice engaged to actress Robin Wright – has never practiced Scientology.
Prepon reveals that she and Foster are both dedicated to meditation. ‘We meditate daily and I’m really liking it,” she says, adding: ‘because it’s something that helps me to hear my own voice and it’s something we can do together.’
