Mum gets stubborn red wine stains out of her grey carpet by using a £10 cleansing butter from The Body Shop

NO much you furiously try and scrub it away, nothing spells disaster for a carpet quite like a red wine stain.

But while we’ve all tried the bicarbonate of soda trick or adding a splash of white wine here and there, one mum has revealed how a £10 Body Shop cleanser has fast become her unlikely miracle cleaning product.

We thought there was no chance a red wine stain this large would ever come out[/caption]

Posting on the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It, the mum revealed how The Body Shop’s gentle Camomile Cleansing Butter got rid of red wine stains in a matter of minutes.

Sharing her ingenious hack with the group’s 76,000 members, the woman started off by posting a photo of the enormous red wine stain which covered half her carpet.

And under normal circumstances, we would have thought there was no hope of salvaging a stain quite this gnarly.

However, the woman then applied a generous dollop of The Body Shop’s cleansing butter directly onto the stain before massaging it into the carpet.

And within minutes, the red wine splatter had magically disappeared.

Singing the praises of the unlikely cleaning product, the woman wrote: “Removes wine. Removes makeup. I’m sold!”

That’s right, it’s not just red wine stains this incredible cleanser can magically erase.

Another woman shared astonishing before-and-after images of how this £10 skincare product magically got rid of bronzer stains on her carpet.
