When questioned by Mirror.co.uk after he landed at the airport to get prepared for the gruelling show, he said he didn’t want to divulge any information about King Charles III’s reaction to him joining the I’m A Celeb 2022 line-up.
“That’s not something I need to tell you,” he said.
Express.co.uk have reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
Despite his initial rebuttal, Mike, who is married to King Charles III’s niece Zara Tindall, was in good spirits ahead of his role in the show.
According to the publication, he accepted that the media were going to shine the spotlight on him.
He also revealed the strain this will have on his life and remarked: “The family I will miss the most of course. This will probably be the longest time I have been away.
“Not having communication, that will be the hardest bit.”
