Michael Jackson's son Prince blows GMB fans away with 'humble' interview

His late father has the record for the longest span of number-one hits for a male on the Billboard Hot 100.

Prince added: “Those same factors will never be the same. So when you look about where my father started to where he ended versus where all the people started to where they ended, it’s just night and day of a difference.”

Michael died in June 2009 when he was 50 years old at his California home after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Prince told Adil and Charlotte: “I was born into it – I was born in ’97 in the middle of the History tour – so anytime we were travelling around, there were always people surrounding him and, for me, that just kind of felt normal.

“When I started to realise that this was something more was when I started watching videos of men fainting over my dad.

“Even now, I’m understanding the full weight of his legacy – as I grow up, as I learn more about his history.

“His impact is so much deeper than I can fully comprehend.”

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays from 6am on ITV.
