Recent reports claim the Duchess of Sussex introduced her husband Prince Harry to the concept of “ancestral healing”, something that is said to have helped him to “break the cycle” of the Royal Family. The Duke of Sussex has openly discussed his difficult treatment inside the Firm, describing the relationship with his father Prince Charles and other senior royals. And although Harry noted these challenges, Charles himself played an important role during the Sussex’s spectacular wedding in 2018, walking Meghan down the aisle in front of millions of viewers across the globe. Harry has previously described his relationship with his brother Prince William as having “good and bad days,” before he and his family relocated to California.

There has also been speculation over a row between Harry and William’s respective wives.

Reports of tensions between the sister-in-laws first emerged after the Sussex’s wedding, when Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage.

However, two years prior to the alleged tensions between the two, Meghan described her first meeting with the Duchess of Cambridge as being very pleasant.

During the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 2017 engagement interview with the BBC’s Mishal Hussain, when asked about the introduction of his fiancee to the Firm Harry said: “It was exciting.

“I mean, I’d been seeing her for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all.

“And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know being our neighbours we managed to get that in a couple of — well, quite a few times now and Catherine has been absolutely…”

But he was quickly interrupted when an excited Meghan added: “Wonderful.”

This is a stark contrast to what has happened since.

The group were seen publicly at events like the Royal Forum Foundation in February 2018, the Commonwealth Day Service in March and the Trooping Colour event in June of that same year.

During the engagement interview Meghan further explained about her experience meeting the Royal Family.

    Meghan said: “It’s incredible.

“I think, you know, to be able to meet her [Queen Elizabeth II] through his lens, not just with his honour and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother, all of those layers have been so important for me.

“So that when I met her I had such a deep understanding and of course incredible respect for being able to have that time with her.

    “And we’ve had a really — she’s — she’s an incredible woman.”

Earlier this year the Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfrey where she explained the challenges she faced as a member of the Royal Family.

She and Harry discussed the challenges they faced on their mental health while also making a number of allegations at the Royal Family.

Harry himself described his brother William as being “trapped” inside the Firm.
