Megan Fox instantly knew Machine Gun Kelly was her 'soulmate' and credits her sons for 'saving' her

They are an It-couple whose whirlwind Hollywood romance is one for the ages.

And Megan Fox has again sung the praises of her ‘soulmate’ Machine Gun Kelly, as seen in a new profile piece in The Washington Post timed for the release of her new film Till Death.

The Transformers star, 35, recollected about the ‘magical’ moment when she first laid eyes on the rapper, 31, when they were preparing to film their upcoming movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Remarkably, they only spent two days shooting together on set, but it was enough to establish a lasting and intense connection. 

‘The first time I looked into his eyes, I was like, ‘I know you. I have known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lives,” she recalled, going on to say that she ‘wasn’t expecting it’d be like, ‘God, you are my soulmate,’ instantly.’ 

The Jennifer’s Body actress began her relationship with Kelly, born Colson Baker, shortly after ending her marriage to Brian Austin Green, with whom she shares three sons: Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, four.

In the same article, the raven-haired beauty gave credit to her children for having ‘saved’ her in a time when she was otherwise bereft due to her career prospects, instead helping her find ‘purpose’ and a chance to ‘escape’ from the industry. 

‘That kind of saved me honestly,’ Fox said of the boys she shares with her now estranged husband.

‘It’s fertile soil,’ she remarked of motherhood. ‘It’s given me the ground that I needed to grow into something quite special.’

Fox largely stepped away from acting and the spotlight between the birth of her eldest and youngest sons, after which she landed a recurring TV role that was a little bit outside of what her perceived wheelhouse was at the start of her career – the sexy femme fatale or the seductress.

‘People were surprised that I was funny at all,’ Fox told the Post, while recollecting on her time playing Reagan on hit Fox comedy New Girl.

‘More than being overlooked for my ability to handle comedy sometimes, I’ve always been surprised by how easy it was for people to overlook that I’m relatively intelligent.’
