Manchester body found: Police lockdown area after finding male corpse in woodland

    A police cordon has been put in place and a specialist unit could be seen working in a wooded area close to Victoria Avenue, in Blackley this afternoon. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called around 11.05am today (25 October) to Victoria Avenue East, Manchester to a report of the discovery of a body of a man.

    “Enquiries are currently ongoing to identify the male.

    “A scene is currently in place.”
