The former Married At First Sight star was slammed by his fans after saying that he’d be ‘happy to let a few turtles go’ to get plastic straws back.
According to Perth Now, the comment received some major pushback, with hundreds of the businessman’s followers sending him enraged messages about it.

Michael later admitted that he’d learned his lesson about the remark.

The dancer had recently split with her TV ‘husband’ Drew Brauer and Michael had split with his ‘wife’ Stacey, 27.

‘Nothing ever happen in there. I have never cheated in my life,’ she said, revealing that while the pair shared ‘banter’ at the reunion, they were single when they began dating one another.
‘Michael and I had this friendship, he is from Scotland, my family is from Scotland, and we had a lot of banter.
‘I was feeling rejected, he was feeling rejected, and Michael was just like a dog with a bone perusing me, and I kept saying no,’ she admitted.

‘He’s persistent man, he has the gift of the gab. There was one line I said after we broke up, ‘I got sold the dream and I fell for it’.
‘That is exactly what happened. At the end of the day I wanted love so bad and I thought he was going to be the guy that just loves me, and he definitely sold me on that. It’s kind of a regret of mine,’ she said.
The co-stars called it quits on her relationship in May last year, announcing their split on Instagram.
