    MAFS fans ask Bryce Ruthven ‘why aren’t you driving?’ as his pregnant fiancée Melissa Rawson drives herself to a doctor’s appointment


    Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven has faced criticism on social media for not driving his pregnant fiancée Melissa Rawson to a doctor’s appointment. 

    Fans took aim at the former radio announcer, 32, after he posted footage on Instagram Stories on Sunday of Melissa driving herself to the check-up.

    Bryce clarified, however, that he had offered to drive Melissa, who is expecting twins, but she had insisted on getting behind the wheel herself.

    ‘I offered (as I always do) to drive but Melissa wanted to drive to our appointment because she knows she won’t be able to in a few weeks,’ he wrote. 

    ‘It was the first time she’s had the opportunity for a proper drive (longer than one minute to the shops) in many weeks.

    ‘I’m not going to to take away that excitement for her if she wants to, and if doctor said Liss is able to drive until a particular drive.’

    Melissa, 32, later explained on Instagram that she ‘likes to drive’.

    She also maintained it was her decision to get behind the wheel on Monday.

    ‘Bryce did offer to drive, which is probably the biggest issue,’ she said, before accusing trolls of continuously trying to find fault with her fiancé.

    ‘That to me is the issue,’ she said. ‘It’s frustrating because I am capable of driving… I can physically do things for myself.’ 

    The couple have been regularly updating fans on their pregnancy journey, sharing footage of Melissa’s 28-week scan on Sunday.

    Bryce joked whether his sons would get his ‘beak’ of a nose, while Melissa said she coudln’t wait to see their ‘chubby little cheeks’.
