Hat’s nice! Chuggs Wallis, 23, is from Surrey, and he’s a hat entrepreneur
Why did you sign up for Love Island? I just feel like it’s now or never. I’m only 23 but I’m scared of aging. Especially as half of my last year of uni was taken away and we had so many fun plans. With Covid and the pandemic, I feel like I’ve missed a year of my youth, so I’m really gagging to get it all back – make the most of it.
What are you looking for in a partner? I need someone to be my best mate. I need someone who is going to muck in with my brothers, my family. I’ve got a mate who has a girlfriend, she plays rugby, golf… everything with us. She’s great, she gets involved. I want something like that.
How would your friends and family describe you? My parents would say I’m pretty responsible as I’m the oldest of three boys. I’ve always been the one that does everything first and the others follow. And then they get better than me, which isn’t fun. I’m pretty driven. In terms of being entrepreneurial I’ve always been like that. My mates would describe me as a solid mate. Everyone always comes to me for advice. I’m always the one organising things for everyone too. I put together the funnest nights out that we’ve had, hosting parties at home, pub crawls.
Who have you got your eye on in the villa? I’d probably say from first impressions Liberty, Chloe and Faye. What you make of the boys so far? I think key competition is Brad, but I also think I’ll get on with him. That Jake guy seems pretty funny, he looks jokes.
What are you excited about heading into the villa for? I’m excited to get to know people and just have social interaction, get to know these girls. I just want to have fun.
Who is your celebrity crush? Selena Gomez is cool and Madison Beer, Cara Delevingne – she’s quite quirky looking.
What’s the best date you’ve had? I used to always do the same thing: date 1 at a restaurant – no kissing even if it went well, date 2 would be a dog walk, pub lunch afterwards and then 3rd date I’d invite them over to watch a movie.

Bricking it? Liam Reardon, 21, is from Wales, and works in construction
Why did you sign up for this year’s Love Island? I’m after a new partner. It’s been a while since I’ve had a girlfriend. I’m struggling to find one.
How would your family describe you? Loving, I’ve got a lot of love in me. Caring, very, very fun and a good person to be around.
What do you look for in a partner? They have to be fun, outgoing. A big thing for me is independence. I want them to want me, not need me.
What will you miss while you’re in the villa? My family and friends and not seeing their reaction when I go in!
What are you excited for? Meeting people – I love meeting people. I do seasons in Ibiza, every day you’re meeting someone new. I was a host of a beach club. So making friends and finding someone I’m actually attracted to.
Are you competitive? I am competitive to a certain extent. I’m not over the top. It’s always nice being a winner. If I’m in competition for a female, I want to try my best, but I won’t go too far out of my way. If she liked you that much she wouldn’t have to make a choice.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa? I think Kaz is really good looking and has a great personality. I’m looking forward to getting to know her. And Chloe – I like her confidence and I’m intrigued to see what she’s about.
Who is your celebrity crush? Joanna Chimonides– I did message her before. She didn’t answer. She is gorgeous, my type of girl. Louisa Johnson from X Factor, she is very, very attractive and I like someone who can sing. And Nicole Scherzinger.
What would be your ideal date? It would be in Ibiza. Go to a restaurant, open air, overlooking the sea, jug of sangria and see where the night takes us. That’s the kind of night I like.
Did you learn anything in lockdown? I run a lot, I box, so I bought a boxing bag for the house and just kept up with the fitness really.
Where do you see yourself in five years? I’m too tall to be a bricklayer, so I’d like to down tools and do a bit of property development. When I’m 30, living somewhere not in the UK. Part of me wants to be wealthy and successful, part of me wants to be living by the beach, run a bar, something on a smaller scale and be happy.
