Love Island fans were left in tears on Friday night as Jake Cornish asked Liberty Poole to be his girlfriend in sweet scenes.
The 24-year-old water engineer decided to make things official Nando’s waitress partner, 21, and enlisted the help of his fellow islanders, before presenting her with a special bracelet.
However, Jake sparked alarm bells with several viewers after Liberty told him she loved him and he failed to say those three words back.

Earlier in the day, Jake told the boys on the sun deck his grand plan, stating: ‘I think it’s maybe time to take the plunge and put a label on it.’
Then with the help of the islanders, Jake later treated Liberty to her favourite meal of spaghetti bolognaise, while the rest of the housemates helped to provide a special touch to the romantic evening.
While sitting on the beanbags following their meal, Jake then brought out two bracelets, one black and one white, with magnets on them, which symbolised them ‘always gravitating towards one another’.

While Jake then popped the question, saying: ‘I feel like I’ve found the one. Will you be my girlfriend?’
The romantic scenes left viewers at home reaching for the tissues, with many turning to Twitter to expresse their emotions over the moment.
