It comes after Lindy shared shared her struggle with the mosquito-borne viral disease, saying her entire family – husband Adam Ellis, and four children Stella, Frankie, Rocco, and Goldie – had contracted it, too.

Lindy said that despite suffering from dengue fever, they can’t go to the hospital out of fear of catching COVID-19.

She told The Herald Sun on Thursday that the family is bedridden and ‘still recovering’ in their Balinese home.

‘We didn’t want to go to the hospital in case we caught COVID-19. We are still recovering. We have to wear face masks but life is normal, they’re not locking things down,’ she told the publication.

‘It’s sad for the locals because 80 to 90 per cent of tourists have gone and there’s no other form of income so crime and homelessness is running rife.

‘They just figure if you get [coronavirus], you get it. Malaria and typhoid are more common and they are way worse. It’s super sad.’
