‘Every man for themselves. Screw them if they don’t want the needle’: Kyle Sandilands says he has had enough of Sydney’s lockdown and wants Gladys Berejiklian to open up
Kyle Sandilands has had enough.
The KIIS FM radio host raged on Tuesday’s Kyle and Jackie O’ show that he wants New South Wales to open up from lockdown because he’s ‘over it’.
The 50-year-old started his rant by telling newsreader Brooklyn Ross that he get his hopes up every time he reads out the daily vaccination rates.

‘You keep making us excited. I feel like we’re nearly there all the time, and we’re never there,’ he said. ‘Are we there yet? Are we there yet?’
Co-host Jackie O’ Henderson explained that they have to wait another ‘four to six weeks’ after first dose vaccination targets have been met.
67% of NSW residents have currently received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. 36% have received two doses and are fully vaccinated.

But Kyle told Jackie that he’s ‘over it’ and completely fed up with the wait.
‘No, no, no, no. That’s bulls**t, I thought we’re nearly there. I’m not waiting another two months,’ he said.
‘Open this joint up! Every man for themselves. Screw them. If they don’t want the needle, don’t get the needle.’

Jackie tried to calm the shock jock down by saying that people who want the vaccine are helping ‘protect other people.’
Kyle then proceeded to point out that Jackie still hasn’t had her second jab.
‘(Jackie) She won’t line up! She wants Uber Eats to bring the jab around,’ Kyle joked, before suggesting the idea of ‘Uber Jab’ to deliver vaccines to residents at home.

‘Lock it in, register it. Uber Jab, nurses everywhere,’ he says as Jackie adds the nurses will use ‘mopeds’ to get around.
Kyle received his first Pfizer vaccine in early June and his second one month later.
Jackie got her first dose of the AstraZeneca jab live on-air in early August.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show has a pro-vaccine stance, as demonstrated by Henderson getting her shot on air and Sandilands releasing his ‘Get Vaxxed Baby’ song.
