She is expecting her third son with husband Justin Scott.

And Kimberley Walsh, 39, has sweetly said that she ‘can’t wait’ to meet her baby and that her bump feels ‘ready to pop’.

Speaking during a candid interview, the singer also joked that it was ‘bizarre’ helping her Emmerdale star sister Amy, 34, through her onscreen birth scene after her character Tracy Metcalfe welcomed a baby girl on the ITV soap in February.

Speaking to The Mirror, the former Girls Aloud singer said: ‘He’s a very strong little thing, I feel like I get kind of beaten up all day with all his kicking, but I love it because it’s comforting to know he’s wriggling around. It feels ready to pop.’

Kimberley is due to give birth at the start of June and she said that neither of her previous children – Bobby, six, and Cole, four –  arrived on time.

And she is hoping that her current pregnancy won’t overrun because despite having the ‘easiest time’ she has felt ‘done now’ over the last few weeks.

Kimberley also discussed the excitement of having been pregnant at the same time as her sisters – even if sister Amy was only pregnant as her character on Emmerdale.

The singer said that she and her older sister Sally helped their younger sibling Amy prepare for her onscreen birth.

Kimberley said that while her sister’s character on the show was pregnant, she used to send photos of her fake bump which was ‘bizarre’.

She told the publication: ‘We’ve all been pregnant, me and my older sister for real and my younger sister on the screen. She was constantly sending us pictures of her fake bump, it was a bit bizarre really.’

Kimberley added: ‘Sally and I have had enough babies between us to help her with the birth scenes, which she did – amazingly. We did a good job of explaining the pain and terror of it all.’

While she is expecting her baby any time now, Kimberley said that her two sons Bobby and Cole are arguably more impatient for their sibling to be born.

She said that with time seeming to pass by at a different rate for children, she has had to placate her sons by telling them that it will only be a few more weekends until they can meet their baby brother.

When the time comes to give birth, Kimberley admitted that she is hoping for a natural birth, but that neither she, nor husband Justin Scott, 38, are ready for a mad scramble to the hospital.

Kimberley also said that although it would have been nice to be giving birth to a girl, she is pleased to be having another boy as she now knows how their minds work – especially with her sister also having her fourth son.

Having made her name as a singer, the star said she was pleased to discover that her son Bobby has a natural affinity for singing – but added that she would allow him to make up his own mind about his career.

Although focusing on motherhood, Kimberley admitted that she is still in regular contact with Cheryl, whose son Bear, four, comes round for play dates.

Kimberley said that she and her former band members have come together recently to support Sarah Harding who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.

The star revealed that the Girls Aloud members all met in November to be together and support Sarah, 39.
