The Duchess of Cambridge said on Twitter she is “saddened by the death of another innocent young woman on our streets”.
She added: “My thoughts are with Sabina’s family and friends, and all those who have been affected by this tragic event.”
Sabina Nessa, 28, is believed by the Metropolitan Police to have been murdered on September 17, at around 8:30pm a short distance from her home.
The royal’s comments come as mourners gather for a vigil on Friday evening in London.
