When asked by a GB News viewer if he had ever shared a pint with Mr Juncker while he was in Brussels, he said: “I like Jean-Claude Juncker. Whatever his faults I got on with him. “It proves you can disagree with people, but in a civilised society you can respect their right to have an opinion and you can get on with them in a reasonable basis.

“It proves you can disagree with people, but in a civilised society you can respect their right to have an opinion and you can get on with them in a reasonable basis.

“What I hate is cancel culture this new left-wing idea, that because I disagree with your view, I am going to try and shut you down and stop you from saying anything and that I find absolutely repulsive.

“Juncker and I actually – despite all the toing and froing, despite all the things he said about me and I said about him, despite all of that – we got on pretty well.”

Farage also commented on whether any more countries would leave Europe.

He said: “I think Denmark is the most likely, they didn’t join until we joined in 1973.”

There’s no reason for the Danes to stay part of the EU. At some point, the Italians will rebel and they will leave and they’ll leave the Euro and the whole thing will melt down.

“It can’t survive it’s not right; we want a Europe of democratic nation states; we want to be friendly with each other, trade with each other, not be run by the muppets in Brussels.”

The former Brexit party leader joined GB News in July to host his own show on during the week from 7-8pm.

This comes after Nigel Farage stood down as leader of Reform UK in March 2021.

The 57-year-old told the Sunday Telegraph in March he intended to step back from party political activity and instead to continue influencing the debate through the media and social media.
