Jake Paul defeated Anderson Silva via unanimous decision to move to 6-0 as a pro.

A cagey opening round saw Silva parry and slip as Paul attempted to force the action. It took the UFC icon an agonising two and a half minutes to even throw a shot as he measured the range and timing of The Problem Child.

In the second, Silva began to apply pressure, looping overhands over the top and forcing Paul to clinch and back off. The showboating was in full-swing early doors in a clear Silva round.

For 47 years old, Silva looked extremely sharp in the early portions. In the third though, Paul began to open up, looking to place his trademark overhand right with vicious intent.

The power punches landed through round six were 31 to Paul and 50 to Silva. After another positive round from Paul in the seventh, the fight hung in the balance in the final round.

Silva came out looking to close the show, but it was Paul that would hurt his foe as he sent the Brazilian to the canvas with a four-punch combination. Now chasing the fight, Silva looked too tired to pull out what he needed to win the contest.

Youth overcame experience at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
