Jake Paul called out Nate Diaz and Canelo Alvarez following his unanimous decision victory over Anderson Silva. Paul won the contest with scorecards of 77-74, 78-73, and 78-73 but was caught up in a backstage altercation with Diaz before the fight.
Taking to the mic after his victory, Paul said: “I want Nate Diaz whose a b****. He tried to come into my locker room, he tried to cause some s*** and he always leaves the arena. So, Nate Diaz stop being a b**** and fight me – and Canelo you too.
“You too, Canelo. You guys said ‘oh, you can’t beat a striker, you can’t beat a legend like Anderson Silva’. I just did it so why can’t I beat Canelo? F*** y’all.”
According to Paul, the ex-UFC fighter tried to force his way into his dressing room before the fight as a mass brawl erupted backstage. The incident was caught on camera with security seen trying to desperately separate both parties.
He added: “Man it’s a surreal moment, hard work pays off, and first and foremost I want to thank Anderson. He was my idol growing up, he inspired me to be great. He was the first celebrity I ever met.
“Without him, we wouldn’t be having a fight this year. He’s a tough mofo, like for real, a legend.”
