In the chat with New York Times, James is said to have been oblivious about the coverage of the alleged incidents and told the reporter he will probably address it on his show.

After hearing somebody else complain about their food, he apparently commented: “It’s always about eggs”.

On Tuesday, the Balthazar boss called out the host on Instagram.

Keith said James “is a hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man and the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”
