And now, according to The Age, the pair have relocated to Isla’s hometown of Perth after living in Sydney for months.

It comes amid rumours that British actor and funnyman Sacha, 49, is set to perform in character at the AFL Grand Final in Perth later this month as late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

The gossip started when a listener told Triple M’s Breakfast with Basil, Xav and Jenna on Monday they’d heard the news from a reliable source in the footy world.

‘Who is in Perth right now? Sacha,’ the caller said, noting how Baron Cohen and his family had travelled from Sydney to Western Australia last month.

‘Sacha has been given the heads-up to do the song,’ they added.

‘Sacha Baron Cohen is going to sing [We Are the Champions] on Grand Final day?’ one of the hosts asked, which prompted another to say: ‘He’d be very good!’

He was set to star as Mercury in the 2018 Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, directed by Bryan Singer.

But he quit over ‘creative differences’ with the band and was replaced by Rami Malek, who won a Best Actor Oscar for the role.

Isla, 45, told Stellar in March this year about moving her family back to Australia, saying she feels ‘safe’ in her home country.

‘I just feel so safe, I suppose the word is cosy, when I’m in Australia. It’s where I grew up,’ she told the publication.

‘I’m the happiest when I’m home. I miss it when I’m not here. I don’t feel any pressure when I’m in Australia. I don’t have to say or do or be anything. I mean, I don’t even have to wear shoes,’ the Godmothered star added.

Isla and Sacha first met at a party in Sydney back in 2002, they tied the knot in Paris in 2010 after she converted to the Jewish faith.

The couple initially relocated temporarily to escape ‘Trump’s America’ at the end of last year.
