In the late nineties blockbuster Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar led the mystery film to success.

Now, in a new-school twist, the group of teens are plagued by text messages instead of blood-written letters.

The initial movie also inspired 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and 2006’s I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr met while filming the original and started dating in 2000.

The couple married in 2002 and have daughter Charlotte and son Rocky.
