    Australian actor Hugh Jackman thrilled fans in New York on Thursday, as he made his way to a live TV appearance. 

    The 52-year-old X-Men star greeted fans and signed autographs as he headed to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. 

    Hugh cut a casual figure as he made his way to the TV studio and showed off his bulging biceps in a tight black T-shirt.

    Hugh, who has been based in New York with his family for years, teamed the look with black jeans and carried a face mask.

    The Wolverine star looked fit and muscular as he made his way to the set and appeared in high spirits. 

    After filming his appearance, Hugh was spotted leaving the studio in a change of clothes, a navy suit, which he wore on air.

    Hugh gave the public a thumbs up and flashed the peace sign before departing in a black SUV. 

    Asides from his upcoming Broadway appearance in The Music Man, the 52-year-old also touched on his recent trip to Australia and the pandemic to host Stephen Colbert.

    The actor returned to America at the beginning of last week after his trip to Australia was cut short by Sydney’s latest Covid outbreak.

    Jackman meanwhile, was trolled on Thursday when he shared a photo to Instagram of himself sitting at a café in New York, with an empty chair in front of him.

    He jokingly asked his followers in the caption what they thought had happened, writing: ‘A) got stood up? B) got the date wrong?’

    ‘It was Ryan Reynolds, wasn’t it?’ one fan responded, while another commented: ‘Has that Ryan Reynolds let you down again?’ 

    Followers were referring to the longstanding joke feud between Hugh and actor, Ryan Reynolds, 44, which the two have shared since starring together on X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
