Inrix said: “The outbound tunnel remains closed, but a contraflow is now in place via the inbound tunnel, where traffic is passing in both directions.”
It added there are diversions affecting bus routes 105, 111, 285, 278, A10, X26, X140 and U3.
Just before 4pm, Inrix issued an update which read: “M4 Heathrow Spur Road in both directions re-opened between the Airport and the main M4 carriageway at J4 (Heathrow / Uxbridge).
“The M4 Heathrow Spur Road is now all open. The outbound Heathrow terminal tunnel remains closed, but a contraflow is now in place via the inbound tunnel, where traffic is passing in both directions.”
