This warning came a day after French skippers stated they would block the Channel Tunnel and the port of Calais if their demands were not met.
These threats were made in response to the British government refusing to issue permits for 35 boats to fish between six and 12 miles off the UK coast.
French trawlers were permitted to fish in this area before the UK left the EU, but now fishermen are required to prove that they previously fished there.
France has accused the UK of breaching the Brexit trade deal, stating that they should be allowed the same level of access.
