Princess Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly spent a lot of time with the Monarch when they were growing up. Sarah Ferguson taught her children to not reach across or have elbows on the table when they spent time with the Monarch.

While having excellent table manners, Fergie said her daughter Eugenie was “fiercely candid” growing up.

She said her daughter used to say “she doesn’t like her granny’s lipstick”.

In 2016, Princess Eugenie spoke of her grandmother’s love of the Balmoral estate.

Princess Eugenie even travelled to Balmoral this summer to spend time with the Queen.

She said: “She [the Queen] really loves the Highlands.

“Walks, picnics, dogs — a lot of dogs, there’s always dogs — and people coming in and out all the time.”

“Family-wise we’re all there, so it’s a lovely base for Granny… where you just have room to breathe and run.”

Princess Eugenie welcomed her first child this year, August Philip Hawke on February 9 2021.

She said: “As soon as we came back [from hospital] she was one of our first visitors.

“I think she is very fond of Charlotte, always watching what she’s up to.”
