Ferne McCann wows in blue bikini while James Argent strips down to trunks as they enjoy pool day

Ferne McCann and James Argent enjoyed a day at the pool on Wednesday as James, 33, continues to loose weight after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in April.

Taking to Instagram to share a clip of herself and her former TOWIE co-star walking into the swimming pool, Ferne, 30, told the camera: ‘We’re going swimming!’

In a snap shared shortly afterwards, the pair had stripped down to their swimwear, with Ferne slipping into a blue bikini and James wearing swimming trunks beneath a towel.

Joking about the fact she had been wearing the same jacket for days, Ferne said in full: ‘Hello darlings, and yes this is my new favourite jacket. I literally have worn it every day since I got it.’

The blonde beauty then revealed James – who looked dapper in black – was standing next to her, adding: ‘He’s arrived. Looking well.’

James then said: ‘Tall, dark and handsome,’ to which Ferne responded: ‘If you say so.’

‘We’re going swimming!’ Ferne then declared, with James gushing: ‘I can’t wait!’

It comes after James discussed slimming down after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery, saying he is ‘pleased’ with his progress.

The former TOWIE star talked about his weight and losing four stone during an appearance on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch on Tuesday, where he showed his slimmer figure.

He reflected: ‘I’m four stone lighter now. It’s a really good start. Four stone out of 11 or 12 might seem like a drop in the ocean but I’m pleased I’ve made progress already.

‘I feel so much happier already, I feel healthier already, I’m lighter on my toes, I’m more confident. I’m really loving life at the moment.’

James also spoke about how weighing 27 stone prior to his surgery, saying he ‘felt horrible’ during the period.

He explained: ‘It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror.

‘It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.’

The reality star went on: ‘It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.’

Arg is currently on a mission to lose six stone by Christmas after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery.
