    BREAKING NEWS: FDA is planning to grant full approval to Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine by Monday

    • The FDA plans to give the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine full approval by Monday
    • The two-dose vaccine was the first to receive emergency use authorization in the United States in December 2020


    The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans on giving full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, according to The New York Times. 

    The two-dose vaccine was developed jointly by New York’s Pfizer and the German based BioNTech.

    It was the first COVID-19 vaccine to receive emergency use authorization by the FDA in December, and is the most commonly used Covid jab in the states.
