    Coronation Street SPOILER: Faye Windass is left in shock as she runs over elderly man in driving lesson crash horror… just after she is released from prison


    She has recently returned to the street after being jailed for attacking Adam Barlow instead of Ray Crosby in a case of mistaken identity.

    And Coronation Street’s Faye Windass, 19, may be heading back behind bars after running over an elderly man who is crossing the road in scenes which are yet to air.

    The teenager – played by Elle Leach, 20 – mows down the man whilst taking driving lessons with Emma Brooker as she tries to adjust to life back on the street.

    Emma, played by Alexandra Mardell, 28, offered to give Faye driving lessons in the taxi following her return to Coronation Street this month.

    However, disaster strikes when they collide with the man, who is played by 81-year-old comedian Duggie Brown.

    During the scene, the pair are quick to help the man from the ground but with Faye on probation we could see her heading back to prison unless the duo cover it up.

    The fate of the elderly man and the repercussions from the crash are not yet known in the episode which is due to air in the New Year.  

    This comes following Faye’s return to the cobbles after a three year prison sentence which saw her leave Corrie in April. 

    Digital Spy reports that Faye’s release comes in this weeks episodes after Sally Webster takes action to free her.

    Sally wondered if a visit to Ray in prison would convince him to admit to sexually assaulting Faye last year. 

    Faye only ever attacked Adam because she believed he was Ray, but has never been able to prove this in court.

    Debbie Webster than decides to take matters into her own hands by visiting Ray in jail in attempt to get Faye released.

    The bistro owner, 52, who is played by actor Mark Frost, was seen convincing the 18-year-old to get in the bath with him in disturbing hotel room scenes last Christmas. 

    Later episodes went on to reveal that Faye had slept with Ray, with him driving her home and asking her to keep what had happened a secret.   

    Meanwhile ITV’s Christmas Brochure hints at further drama for Emma who is set to marry Curtis Delamere’s at Christmas:

    ‘A Christmas wedding has everyone excited, but as Emma prepares to marry her dream man she discovers Curtis is not all he seems. Her heart set on a big white wedding, will Emma be able to forgive the unforgivable or will Curtis be leaving Coronation Street without saying: ‘I do?’
