ITV host Lorraine Kelly took a swipe at the Conservative Party leadership candidate as she explained what was on her show on Good Morning Britain on Monday. Lorraine was asked if she remembered her former colleague, to which she bluntly replied: “Yes”. Speaking during an interview with Iain Dale on LBC, the presenter quizzed the leadership hopeful over the feud.
He asked: “The question the whole country wants an answer to, is what on earth did you do to Lorraine Kelly?”
Ms McVey threw her head back and started laughing before she said: “I don’t know, I had a very fun time at GMB TV”.
The LBC host snapped back, insisting the ITV host “clearly can’t stand you”.
Ms McVey simply replied: “Who knows. Who knows.”
She added: “I have gone off into politics, maybe she wanted to go off into politics? Who knows.”
As Dale asked if the frustration from Lorraine was “jealousy”, Ms McVey insisted she “did not want to get into that”.
She said: “I have said I have happy memories of TV.”
After the blunt reply on Monday, Piers Morgan, the Good Morning presenter, asked whether Lorraine “got on” with Ms McVey.
Lorraine quickly replied: “I don’t remember, I don’t remember, I don’t remember at all. It was a long time ago”.

On Tuesday, as GMB crossed over to Lorraine who outlined what was on her show, Mr Morgan couldn’t help but bring up the exchange between Ms McVey and the ITV host.
Responding to questions about the clash, Lorraine said: “Yesterday, I’ll be honest with you Piers, I just got sick to the back teeth of the whole toxic political atmosphere.
“I strongly disagree with her on LGBT rights and I just thought to myself ‘I’ve had enough of this.’
“We’ve had two and a half years of going round in circles and not sorting Brexit out and now we have got a state in Britain where people are at each other’s throats and it has to stop’.”
