England hero Lianne Sanderson furiously rips into FA after USA snub and embarrassing error

“I’m happy all my former team mates enjoyed their evening, that makes me happy. But this had left me so upset yet again. Thank you to those that continue to support me. My circle is tight.”

Express Sport has approached the FA for comment.

Sanderson walked away from the national team in 2010 after a dispute with then-boss Hope Powell and claimed the England set-up wanted “robots” in the squad.

“It’s always been an uphill struggle for me with my national team,” Sanderson said a year after retiring from England. “I felt the [England set-up] wanted people like robots who would literally do everything they asked you to do.”
