Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) and Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) went head-to-head during a heated instalment of the ITV soap. Cain pointed a gun in Al’s face before a vicious fight broke out between the pair and they were left reaching for the weapon. The episode quite literally ended with a bang, but fans believe Cain’s sister, and Al’s lover, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was the character who got shot.
Emmerdale hardman Cain greeted his enemy Al with a shotgun during Monday’s dramatic instalment of the ITV soap.
Cain saw red when he discovered his sister was having an affair with Al and tricked the businessman into meeting him in a remote barn.
Al tried to mask his fear over the fun Cain was holding before the two men started rolling up their sleeves to prepare for battle.
As they started circling one another, Al said: “We both know who you are doing this for and it isn’t Chas.”

Cain replied: “This is about you destroying something which isn’t yours to destroy.”
“No no no, this is about someone coming along and finally putting you out of your misery,” Al commented.
A physical fight then broke out between the pair, with Cain throwing the first punch at his enemy.
Al continued fighting back and challenging Cain who eventually managed to kick him to the ground.
